Welcome to St Joseph’s Parent Teacher Association. We run events that are fun for the children and are enjoyable social events for parents and grandparents and which raise vital funds to extend the learning activities and facilities for the children. We have helped to fund the log trail, bought school equipment including a new camera for Reception children, helped to fit out the new Year 2 classroom and supported residential trips for the older children.
The PTA is a charity (registered in England & Wales number 1031952) that is open to all parents, grandparents and carers of children at St Joseph’s. You don’t have to do anything to ‘join’ as such and will always be welcome to get involved.
We have a core committee who run the PTA and are the charity’s trustees. This committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting each year (held in the Autumn term). We also have a group of active members who help run the events – sometimes the preparation, sometimes just helping out on the day. Whatever time you can spare will help make the PTA even more successful… and that will mean we can donate more to the school to help support your child’s learning. We have meetings approximately once a term – sometimes after school, sometimes in the evening. We would love you to join us. But a lot of our planning is done via email, so even if you can’t make the meetings you can still get involved.
If you would like to support the PTA please contact a member of the committee via the school office or in the playground.
